Project Statement
A beautiful sketchbook made to fit my own personal wants and needs. The design of the butterfly wings is modeled off of a tattoo I have wanted for many years, adding to the personal aspect of this sketchbook. The theme of the butterfly is heavily considered in all aspects of the design, down to the chrysalis carrying case and the gossamer, color-changing wings. The addition of the button clasp ensures that the unusual shape of the sketchbook will not affect the ease of carrying due to opening unintentionally, while also allowing for the recurring element of yarn to be included in both the sketchbook and carrying bag.
