Project Statement
An exploration of drinkware and feminine aesthetics. My Guilty Pleasure Collection is a series of 12 different pieces of ceramic drinkware. Each hand-sculpted, glazed, painted, and fired over a 8-week period. I utilized a common color-theme and use of three glazes and underglazes to create vastly different designs and pieces. Every different sub-collection was an exploration of hand-building techniques and throwing on the wheel. There are five different categories that were explored: mugs, cups, pitcher, bowl, and lidded coffee cup.
