Project Statement

For my fall internship at Circular Economy Manufacturing I was in charge of a product creation project. I designed and created a sustainable crochet plant hanger for the HexPot product sold by Circular Economy MFG. Utilizing 100% rPET yarn (made from recycled plastic water bottles) I created two different plant hanger designs. The finalized piece was a minimalistic functional plant hanger, the minimal design reduces the amount of yarn needed to make the hanger. I also took professional photographs of the final product and listed it up onto the website. While at the internship I also learned lots of other skills which included: working with the rotational molder machine, marketing and selling products, collecting HDPE plastic to be reused in products, and setting up and educating customers on the mission of Circular Economy MFG.
